I was told by an interior decorator that copper is the metal that is in style for this holiday season. Copper has a beautiful, warm patina and is always in style. For sale is large copper urn or vase. This urn or vase has beautiful, classic, midcentury modern style. It is has a brilliant shiny copper body that gracefully dips in at the rim. It sits on a brass pedestal vase. It is approximately 6-1/8” tall and about 5-1/2” in diameter. The base is 4-1/2” in diameter. It still has its foil sticker on the bottom marked “Colonial Armorwear” Taunton, MA. I purchased these urn or vase along with several other pieces. Most of the pieces were made by the Coppercraft Guild. The Coppercraft Guild, located in Taunton, MA sold solid copper housewares, decorative wall art, planters, etc. from 1973-1978. I tried to find information on “Colonial Armorwear” and could not find anything on it. I wondered if this was another line put out by the Coppercraft Guild since both companies made copperware items and manufactured them in the same city and state. I don’t know for sure if this bowl is crafted of solid copper or is plated. But a magnet does not stick to it. This piece is very nice looking and has a beautiful, original finish. It has a little oxidation inside but none on the outside. There is very little wear, a few scuff marks and several tiny pings inside this piece. I didn’t even notice them when I bought it. I consider this piece to be in in pretty good condition considering it has been used and is over 30 years old. This urn would look great filled with silk flowers with a pair of candlestick holders on either side. (Please visit my shop I have two styles of copper candle holders to pick from.) It would also look great with flowers or pinecones dusted with copper glitter, metallic glass ornaments or pine boughs with metallic fronts. Price: $29. Just in case you are interested, I’ve also have two pairs of Coppercraft Guild candle holders, a flat dish bowl, Revere Bowl, Compote Pedestal Bowl, and Tray. (Photo #5 shows most of the items available for purchase.) This item is sold “As Is” and is non returnable because I have described it as accurately as possible. If you purchase additional items (non breakable), I will gladly combine to save on S&H charges. I’m sorry but I only accept PayPal as my method of payment and I cannot ship out of the United States at this time. Payment is due within three days. Please wait 4-5 business days for PayPal to clear and your item will be shipped within 2-3 business days. Thanks for stopping by!
