My dad designed this ring around a gorgeous fire opal with green and pink highlights. The stone was cut by my dad, and was highly polished to enhance its natural beauty.

This handmade vintage gold ring is stamped “14K”. The setting is irregular, organic-looking gold. The back of the band is plain gold. It was created with a method called lost wax casting. The maker’s mark is an ornate S for Salisbury.

I’m discounting this ring $100 because there’s a crack in the stone, and I don’t know if that’s normal. You can see the crack in the first photo, near the top of the opal.

My dad handcrafted jewelry in the 1980s and took his work to California craft shows. Everything was packed away when my brother was in a car accident (he’s doing fine now). After the family moved, they got packed even deeper. But mom was digging through boxes lately and rediscovered them. When I told him about Etsy, Dad asked me to add them to my shop.

My apologies, but I’m not a silversmith, so I can’t resize anything. Dad is eighty, and is no longer able to work silver.

All measurements are approximate. Please remember that colors show differently on different displays.

Thanks for looking!
