Welcome to White Tideline Designs, handcrafted jewelry-as-art ~ sculpted bracelets like watercolors, using premier artisan beads & gemstones & sterling. Each piece is designed and handmade by me in my San Francisco Bay Area studio, an old African mahogany dining room table in my home - my vast and beautiful palette. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind design, made exactly just one time. I may make pieces similar in design if I have enough artisan lampwork beads, however no two pieces will ever be identical.

This piece is called, 'Pike Street Harvest,' after the famous, historic marketplace of the same name in Seattle, Washington. I love going to weekly produce markets close to home and taking in the colors, shapes and textures. The coffee, rolls and friendly folk music on an early Saturday morning. I like the people who shop at Farmer's Markets and I enjoy visiting with the farmers who come to town and set up their stands with their bountiful, fresh vegetables and fruits. Pike Street Market is all of that and so much more, sitting harborside in downtown Seattle and offering bountiful flowers, fruit, vegetables, fish, crafts, high art, etc. Always a colorful, spirited place to visit, I like both venues - indoors in an old port and out in the sunshine of a fresh morning in the local library parking lot. In any case, that is my muse behind this 'Thanksgiving' themed piece - full of the earth's good bounty of fresh food. "Pike Street Harvest' is a lush, wonder-piece of some pretty spectacular sculptural lampwork beads ~ namely, its fruit and vegetable beads. This is the first bracelet I have designed with so many glass edibles and it was great fun to work with for this past week. 'Pike Street Harvest' incorporates the lampwork beads of several artists, perhaps the most prominent being Catherine Steele, a gifted American artist along with several international artists - from the U.S.A. to England, Israel & Russia!

So..the beads. These are some of the stunning sculptural beads of Catherine Steele called, 'Grape Harvest.' She rarely makes them anymore and I was very fortunate to luck into a set of them. Companion focal lampwork includes an elegant tubular bead made by a similarly talented American artist whose signature design is gelded (24K gold glass leaf) tubular beads. They are at once old worldly and ultra modern. I've used one as a center focal in this design.

When I sat down to create a harvest piece around these beads, I honestly had no idea I was going to go for broke and make such a fun, colorful blend of colors around the otherwise these quiet grape harvest beads. At the end of my work, however, I was so happy and thrilled with the final result. It is just perfect (bragging aside..) and I could not be any happier.

Companion lampwork beads include:
* Dreamy encased amber gold organic rounds
* Blackberry sculptural beads and sweet lilac bluebelles from a Russian artist
* Blueberry sculptural beads and the central flower bead by a devoted Israeli artist
* Lovely green leaf & bright lemon & lemon tree flower sculptured beads by a new artist to me (delighted to have found her)

This is *the* bracelet for the Autumn, for celebrating the radiant colors and abundant blessing of our land and all the delicious, nutritious fruits, vegetables, wine and flowers offered up by our magnificent mother-earth. 'Pike Street' would look superb on a casual Saturday at the market or at a festive Thanksgiving feast. Tis the season to celebrate our great good fortune and the joy & wonder of being alive!
