This DIGITAL FILE includes full-color photographs and professionally drawn illustrations needed to make the Phoenix Beaded Rope Bracelet designed by Melinda Barta.

To complete the rope, you will need to purchase size 8 seed beads, Czech 3mm rounds, 3x1.5mm or 4x2mm Czech rondelles, 2 jump rings, lobster or other clasp, 6lb FireLine beading thread, scissors, and beading needles. Looks great finished with 11x11mm metal bead caps (with 10mm opening). Optional finishing method uses 6" of craft wire, 1 headpin, wire cutters, round-nose pliers, and chain-nose pliers. A detailed materials list is included in the pattern. Color names and numbers are included for all colorways shown.

About the project:
At first glance, you would think this rope is made with a netting technique. By making it with tubular right-angle weave instead, it’s much stronger than netting so there’s no need for an inner structural support (like plastic tubing). Make this fun-to-stitch bracelet with 3mm rounds, 3mm or 4mm rondelles, and size 8° seed beads. The larger rondelle option (4mm) results in more dimension, creating an almost flowerlike feel (see variations in pics). Finish it with one of three different finishing ideas. End caps, secured with wire-wrapped loops, make for a clean, professional finish.

I love RAW, especially CRAW, it just bends to shape so easily. I also love the Toho Demi beads as well so this is one pattern I’m really looking forward to making. I’m trying to finish off some beaded Christmas presents first, then I’ll make this one for myself. Many thanks to Melinda too for her easy to read patterns.
