The presence of the peach in folklore, literature, religion, paintings, embroidery, and in the affection of people signifies luck, abundance, and protection. The fruit is believed to offer immortality or at least reaching very old age.

Not from a mold, this tile is hand~sculpted and hand~pressed using high~fire stoneware and a multitude of overlaying high~fire glazes. The hand~pressed background allows light to playfully cast shadows of depth. The high relief sculpted peaches and leaves are built one element at a time, therefore each tile is unique in character with ever-so-slight variations. Each tile is numbered and signed by me.

Approximate Width 6" x Height 4" x Depth 5/8"

Display Options Include:
. Notched on back to hang on nail for wall mount.
. Display on small table top easel.
. Can be set into backsplash, advisably a low-traffic area due to the high-relief of the tile.
