Augh....these boots! Not so much Combat, but Cavalry. Gorgeous dark amber leather uppers bearing Intentional as well as Actual distressing, but Distressed to Impress, little mommie! (Oh yeah, she's gonna be little if she's wearing these babies. Try size 6 and not much over it.) I tried them on to size them, and I fit into them but not very comfortably. But I was in them long enough to have what can only be described as an out of body experience of a time not long ago, and not far from this place, when things were different. People were different. And the boots, well hell yeah, mama, they were different and of the best quality one can imagine. And these two (J&D) were mounted troops of the highest caliber.

Ahhh, Joan. My dear, my good gentlewoman.... You are trained to fight on horseback but prefer instead to ride sidesaddle while pointing a water gun at us all. And David, my good man. I respect and adore you, Adonis of my Foot's heart. You make me want to call in the Cavalry each time I look upon your Artistry.

Joan+David Grandstand -- from Italy to Nashville and everywhere in between.

Maker/Brand: Joan & David - handmade in Italy
Marked Size: 6 1/2 M
Modern fit: snug 6

See measurements below to insure sexiest fit:

9 3/4" length of footprint (from back edge of heel to end of sole)
9 3/8" length insole (slight approximation)
3 3/8" width outer sole (at widest part)
6 3/4" height of uppers (from top of cuff to beginning of sole)
1" height of heel (including thickness of sole)

What's the damage?

Dark forest green leather interiors are beautiful, clean and intact. There are many natural variations in color in the amber brown leather uppers, please inspect pictures. There are also several marks which are likely wear-related scratches, though they are largely superficial and almost none seem to alter the physical texture of the leather. Heels and soles are in great vintage condition, credited largely to the superb craftsmanship, of course. Rubber heel caps show normal wear on back edges, but none yet extends to the base of the wood heels; they have a while to go.

If you would prefer these show up at your door with a more impressive showing of the maintenance-free years to come, we would be happy to have the heel caps professionally replaced prior to shipment -- Just include a request with order, and we will send you a $20 invoice, the approximate price of the service. Should we be charged any less by our cobbler for this pair, we will refund you the difference.

Thanks so much for checking out our vintage boot-ique ;)
