Women's Slouchy Boots:

These Slouchy Boots are so trendy and stylish! Picture these boots with a cute skirt or with a pair of skinny jeans, so fun! This pattern teaches you not only how to make "soft soled" boots, but also how to add a flexible outsole as shown in the third-fifth picture or how to make "outstitched" Hard soled boots as shown in the first & second picture. You could make simple polar fleece indoor slipper boots with this pattern or make boots for outdoor winter weather, it's all up to you how far you want to go.

DO YOU SELL THE SOLING MATERIAL USED IN THE PICTURES?:

Yes, I do sell the waterproof soling fabric for SOFT soled shoes, however I don't sell the hard sole materials directly--- BUT I will point you in the right direction to get what you need! Here is a list of the types of soling you could use:

Flexible Outsole material (used on the tan boots) Thickness: 1/8", sold in 15"x30" sheets . Found in this section: http://blog.livingdiystyle.com/18-flexible-gum-crinkle-outsole-for-shoe-making

Moldable sole material 1/4" thick, sold in 18"x36" sheets (used on the white boots)- Can be found in this section: http://blog.livingdiystyle.com/14-moldable-soling-sheets-for-shoe-making

Midsole/Insole Material: http://blog.livingdiystyle.com/18-insole-sheets

Waterproof Soling ---not used in any of the boot pictures, but it could be used. Please see my Everyday Loafer listing to see a picture of how this looks as a sole material. This material is listed in my shop in this section: https://www.etsy.com/shop/shoeology?section_id=12180202

CAN I WEAR THESE OUTSIDE?

Yes! In the tutorial that comes with this pattern I will go over all your soling options. There are a few soling materials that I sell that will make these boots suitable for outdoor use. Just so you are aware, you will need to use contact cement to glue on the thick outdoor sole material as shown in all the pictures. A good "no-glue" option would be to use waterproof soling for the soles. You can sew it on. The upper boot would sew right to this soling material. (See the last picture of my Everyday Loafers to see an example.

CAN I APPLY THESE NEW SOLING TECHNIQUES TO YOUR OTHER SHOE PATTERNS?

Yes!!! Just apply what you learn from this pattern to my other patterns and you can make sturdy shoes too.

Making boots for yourself is not only super fun, but it's also really rewarding. These boots can also make a jaw dropping gift for your friends, mom, sister, or other family members! No one will believe you made boots, it blows people's minds!!
