The tradition of marking the ownership of one's books with a bookplate dates all the way back to the Middle Ages. Books were precious possessions then (as now), and those who loaned them out wanted them returned. "Ex Libris" (Also written "Ex-Libris") is a Latin phrase meaning "from the library of" or "from the books of".

These little bookplates feature an assortment of my watercolored vintage kitchen illustrations. (These make great gifts for the cookbook collectors in your life.) They can be printed onto any medium to heavyweight paper and affixed to the front of your books with any favorite adhesive or paste. A little re-usable envelope (and label) is included to store your bookplates in and make gift giving a snap. Their small size (each plate measures 3 7/8" x 3") makes them a great mailable gift!

This set of 5 PDF pages comes complete with directions, envelope, envelope label & four different bookplate designs. Files will be available for immediate download once payment is confirmed. Please see this link if you are not familiar with Etsy downloads:
