These mini Christmas sweaters make a great tree ornament - for your own tree or to give as a gift. I have provided a range of charts and ideas here, and you can add your own personal touches however you like.

They are made with fingering weight yarn (I used Cascade 220 Fingering) and because you only need 4-5g of yarn per sweater (plus a small amount for the decoration), they make a great stash buster.

They are knit in the round on a 2.25mm needle. You can either use a circular needle (with a 24” or 32” cable) and the magic loop method on dpns, or on flexi-dpns, whichever you prefer. The designs are added afterwards using duplicate stitch, and I have included instructions (with photos) on how to do this.

Skills required:
- cast on and bind off
- knitting in the round
- kfb (increase by knitting into the front and back of the stitch)
- k2tog (decrease by knitting two stitches together)
- duplicate stitch

Finished dimensions of the body of the sweater are approximately 2.75’ x 3.5’ (7.25cm x 9cm).

This is a downloadable pattern sheet. Looks straightforward if you are an experienced knitter. Love them for package decorations and hanging on the tree.
