Freddie Mercury (Farrokh Bulsara . Zanzibar, 1946 - London, 1991).
Vocalist, musician and composer who was known internationally as the leader of Queen, a British rock band that enjoyed overwhelming success during the 1970s and 1980s, taking over from mythical groups such as The Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
The energy and spectacularity of the stagings in the live concerts and an apt renewal of the genre through the assimilation to rock of varied trends, from jazz to symphonic, explain the deserved and overwhelming triumph of the group, without discounting, of course, the extraordinary intuition and musical creativity of its leader, Freddie Mercury, who developed in parallel a applauded solo career.
A provocative, versatile and charismatic figure like few others, his premature death on November 24, 1991, as a result of AIDS, shocked show business and its millions of followers worldwide.

It took a while, but item arrived beautifully packaged and fully intact. The sculpture (in caricature form) is a true and faithful representation of Mick Jagger. It holds a prominent spot along with my other Stones artwork, and it stands out as one of my more unique pieces. Hats off to Ramon for such a wonderful and timeless display of one of the greatest musical and cultural icons of the 20th and 21st centuries.
