How is grippy biothane different?
It has bumps all over which help to increase comfort. I love using a grippy leash for my coupler with my two XL dogs, it feels like butter on your hands! It is also great for police and other other working dogs.

What is biothane you ask?
Biothane is an amazing material used in place of leather for dog supplies and horse tack.

Why choose biothane?
Biothane is waterproof, chemical and mildew resistant, easy to decontaminate and easy to clean. Unlike leather, there is no conditioning required. I have always loved leather for my horse and dog equipment, but now I love my biothane more!

We use 8 foot leashes for hiking. Those leashes go through everything including trees, mud, sand, lots of water, etc. I have had those leashes for a year and they still look brand new! Once we come home all I do is wipe off any dirt and they are good as new. No stinky wet smell either! Biothane also does not stretch even when wet.

The break strength of this product is amazing! These leashes are made with the middleweight webbing biothane. It has a break strength of 1000 pounds. I recommend stitching leashes for any working dog uses where the leash will be under extreme tension. Leashes that are secured with chicago screws have loctite in the threads to ensure the screws will not come loose.
