1.All citrus plants has to be potted in a well draining soil. This gives the plant to take the needed water and still the roots to be able to have good air circulation. Yellowing of leaves and falling off is generally a sign of too much wetness in the roots. Water only when you feel (by touching the soil) that the soil is getting to dry.
2. This plant was growing in a 1 or 2 gallon pot. Recommended to gradually increase the pot size as the plant grows bigger over years. Putting plants in a much bigger pot is too much mass of soil that can hold lots of moisture for the smaller plants roots to handle. Plant roots needs air circulation for being healthy.
3. Avoid keeping the plants too close to active draft /vent or window still.
4. When kept indoor - improve humidity around the plant by keeping a saucer with pebbles filled with water below the plant. Most plants needs humidity to stay healthy indoor.
