It is made of all new fabrics...the blues are left-overs from other sewing projects. No smoke smells.
This little hanging is not a quilt at all...it is folded and stitched (by hand) fabric...no batting. The scrappy blue windows are hand sewn with the white print making the frame to each window.making is 5.75 x 20 inches (15 x 51 cm). The hanging is straight across the top and pointed on the bottom...
This piece measures 5.75 by 20 inches (15 by 51 cm) and will hang in a group or in a skinny spot there a punch of interest is needed. There is a sleeve on back for handing -- or it can be hung with tacks or tape (think apartments and dorms).
The background is white, cotton fabric; the 'windows' (the diamond shapes) are various colors of blue....from light to dark. I did a good job arranging the colors so that there is not a blob of one shade in one place... am very pleased with the results.
Cathedral Windows take a lot of time, some expertise with the needle... and a lot of fabric. The Cathedral Window bed covers are heavy....and expensive.
