The friction folder is the earliest and simplest form of folding knife. The straight razor is a survival of the same design...there is no spring, the blade pivots on a single rivet, and the extended tang on the rear of the blade holds the knife open when in the hand.

This one has a razor-sharp blade of high-carbon steel, recycled from an old file, and a hand-carved handle of black Water Buffalo horn. The handle has silver inset washers made from a silver coin, with a steel rivet to hold the blade. The folding action is smooth, the blade feels solid when extended and stays shut well when closed. Blade length is 3 1\/2", handle is 5". The tang is 2" long, making the knife a total of 7" long when closed. The Water Buffalo horn has a few small cracks, which are cosmetic only and do not weaken the handle. It is hand-rubbed to a satin sheen, and lightly oiled.

This is a one-off piece (although I may make more of these, I really like the design!). You will recieve the knife shown in the photos. 18 and over only on this item, please! Shipping is $8 in the US, please contact me for international shipping costs. Knife will ship within three days of purchase. Thanks for looking!
