In 1990, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth, the USPS honored Dwight David Eisenhower, thirty-fourth president of the United States and supreme commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces during World War II, with a stamp. It was issued October 13, 1990, in Abilene, Kansas. The foreground of the stamp shows the official White House portrait; the sepia-tone background depicts General Eisenhower speaking to Allied troops on the eve of D-Day in1944.

This stamp is handsomely displayed in a 3.75 by 2.75 metallic frame and is perfect for the historian or collector.
