Tired of opening your door, stepping around your mail, then having to pick it up off the floor? This plywood and fabric mail catcher will help. This model with fabric sides has hinges at the bottom and is designed for tight spaces, such as when the door opens against a wall. The mail gets a little smushed but the wall doesn't get damaged. This is made to order, so you can request the wood be painted, stained or left unfinished.

Dimensions: 12 deep at top, 14" tall, 15-1/2" wide. The square hole in the back is 11 x 3-1/2" This is pretty large. It can be installed as shown or you can install it higher so the mail comes through the square hole.

I noticed here in San Francisco that half of us have mail slots and our mail ends up on the floor inside the front door or garage. I made my first mail catcher for one of my 80 year old customers who has a mail slot in her garage door and had spent the last 55 years trying to avoid driving over her mail, then having to pick it up off the floor. At 80 she is having a little trouble bending over. Her problem is solved. Why wait until you're 80?
