New or reclaimed from industry materials: Artificial sinew, waxed linen cord, acrylic paint, rooster feather, hair-on deerhide, deerskin leather

Secondhand/recycled materials: Rawhide, coyote toe bone, sea urchin spine

Dimensions: 9 1/2" wide, app. 17" long

Description: This whole thing started with a strip of rawhide left over from a bigger project. I made dangles with braided artificial sinew and waxed linen cord, with a rooster feather, coyote toe bone, hair-on deer hide, deerskin leather, and a sea urchin spine at the ends. On the rawhide I painted the following quote by John Daniel: "The beauty of the wild is the long gesture of life in time. The beauty of skin and fur and feathers, the beauty of blood, the beauty of bones sinking into grass".

***Wildlife parts may NOT be shipped outside the U.S.; deer antler may not be shipped to New Jersey; please do not ask me to make an exception for you.***

The majority of my supplies are from secondhand sources, such as old fur and leather coats, or beads from old jewelry. Everything made with animal parts is given a full ritual purification according to my spiritual path. A portion of the proceeds is donated to nonprofit organizations such as the Defenders of Wildlife.
