This listing is for 50 hand crafted double ended (DE) synthetic dreadlock extensions. You may choose color and length up to 24 inches long. The color chart is listed in picture 4. Please advise the color and length of your synthetic dreads in the 'information to seller' box provided at time of purchase.

The colors used in the example photos are a combo of 27/ 613 (mixed blonde), 27 (the ginger color in there), 4/Amber and 4/27. I would be glad to replicate this set for you, as that is a pretty popular request.

The dreadlock extensions listed here are intended to be braided into loose hair or used for dread falls or added to wigs. They are quick to install. 50 double ended dreads is enough to install on a full head. Though the average head only needs 35 to 40.

Once an order is placed, they will take 6 - 8 weeks to create. Once the order is complete they are mailed with insurance, tracking and delivery confirmation.

These type of dreads are time consuming and require a number of steps to create them. The price reflects the quality and time that goes into creating these beautiful dreads.

Installation:

I recommend using orthodontic elastics to install these dreadlocks. They hold up a lot better than standard bands that can be purchased at a beauty supply store. The other option I have found that has great results is a brand called Blax. They are a little spendy, but totally worth it.

Caring for your dreadlocks:

Synthetic dreadlocks can be installed for up to 8 weeks. After about 8 weeks hair growth requires that you uninstall them, then reinstall them. I will repair dreadlocks for $40.00 (plus shipping) after an installation. Send me a message and I will create a listing and provide you the address to mail them to. I have had clients that I have repeatedly repaired dreads for up to a years worth of wear! These dreads hold up really well.

Synthetic dreadlocks can be washed and get wet. When washing your hair with dreadlock extensions, be sure to stick to washing your roots. Be sure to also rinse your roots real well to avoid any product build up. Conditioner will not be necessary (as it will have no effect on softening synthetic dreadlocks and creates unnecessary build up in your roots). When using shampoo, dilute your normal shampoo with water to about 1/10 of it's natural strength. I also recommend this shampoo:

It's a mild peppermint shampoo that soothes itching that is created from 'tension bumps' that are fairly common a few days after an install. Your tender scalp will thank you.

When wearing your dreadlock extensions, please avoid curlers, hair dryers, irons and steaming. Heat will affect your dreadlocks, with typically undesirable effects. So be mindful when entering hot tubs or saunas that you aren't steaming your head too much.

Last, but not least. Please do not use wax on synthetic dreads. They weren't meant for it.
