This image is taken from inside the ruin looking out onto a view of the beautiful Spanish Moss draped live oaks and dogwoods that grace the grounds of this site. According to the tablet at the site placed by the Colonial Dames of America (and they should know, right?), the Sheldon Church was built in the 1740's, burned by the British in 1779, rebuilt in 1826 and burned again by the Federal Army in 1865. There is apparently some question about this last burning.

I will print this image with Epson’s long lasting Ultrachrome K3 inks on an excellent quality satin paper. It will be shipped USPS first class sealed in a moisture resistant sleeve inside a rigid mailer. Any copyright info appearing here on Etsy will not, of course, be on your print.

I have another view of the ruins listed here -- http://www.etsy.com/listing/85625665/photograph-south-carolinas-sheldon-ruins .
