The Skylab program is an often overlooked chapter in space history, a remnant of the much more famous Apollo Program, and happening years before the long-lasting Space Shuttle. Skylab was America's first space station, NASA's first foray into homesteading space. This highly detailed, 1:73 scale model reproduces the orbital laboratory in loving detail. The instruction set not only includes easy to follow, step-by-step assembly instructions, but is also filled with color photos, diagrams, and descriptive text that tell the amazing story of Skylab. Also included are instructions for a modification of the model that represents Skylab as it was originally designed, before the launch accident that nearly crippled the space station.
