What's the difference between KUNG FU ( 功夫) and WUSHU / MARTIAL ARTS ( 武术 ) ?

Many people in the world today are learning KUNG FU. However, they are confused by the difference between KUNG FU ( 功夫) and MARTIAL ARTS / WUSHU ( 武术 ). We think that the following explanations may clear the confusion.

Western people know KUNG FU because of the great KUNG FU Master Bruce Lee.
Many KUNG FU masters insist that MARTIAL ARTS / WUSHU means KUNG FU in a broad sense.
MARTIAL ARTS / WUSHU ( 武术 ) is called in Mainland China ( Some people also say 武功, 武艺).
KUNG FU (功夫) is called in Hong Kong . KUNG FU is only a Cantonese term meaning hard work .

KUNG FU / GUOSHU (功夫或国术) is called in Taiwan.

So 武 written in Chinese calligraphy on a silk scroll is often hung in a KUNG FU STUDIO / CLUB in many movies made in China , Hong Kong and Taiwan .

Beautiful artwork. One communication problem that I later discovered was my mistake (I failed to specify the desired orientation on a second contact with them) and they had offered to resolve. I decided to keep it anyway and use in another location. Came rolled tightly in a heavy tube to prevent damage to the delicate rice paper.
