Description

Please Note: This listing is for a PDF pattern to make the beautiful Blue Birds of Happiness Doily, not the finished item. You will be able to download your pattern directly from Etsy immediately after purchase.
This pattern is written in English and uses standard American crochet terminology. No other versions of the pattern are available (no graphs, videos or translations.)

Soon after I released my "Hummingbirds and Roses Pineapple Doily" http://www.etsy.com/listing/58959500/hummingbirds-and-roses-pineapple-doily last year, I began receiving requests for more doilies featuring birds and pineapples. I love the combination of the two, so several months ago, I began to design Blue Birds of Happiness.
When making sketches for this doily, I turned Adelaide Hiebel’s vintage paintings of children and blue birds for inspiration. It was my goal to capture the feel of these charming paintings in a doily; I hope you will feel that I have succeeded.
As a special thank you gift, I will be including a copy of the pdf pattern for my "Rhapsody Rose" doily with each purchase (see last pictures). This vintage-style doily makes a beautiful companion to the Blue Birds of Happiness.
I will also include a tutorial on how to make an Eyelet Foundtion, which is used in the Blue Bird Doily.
This pattern is in PDF format so you will need to be able to open Adobe Acrobat, and prints out to 4 pages.

Skill Level: Intermediate. This is a clearly written and easy to follow pattern, but intermediate level crochet knowledge is recommended. This pattern is written in English and uses standard American crochet terminology. Instructions for special stitches are included.

Size: The finished doily is about 20” x 12”

Size 10 Cotton Crochet Thread:
200 yards Cream
100 yards each Green, Shaded Pinks and Blue
50 yards each Rose and Brown
2 Black seed beads for eyes

Size 7 (1.65mm) steel hook
