2 delightful Limoges shallow dishes by W. Guering & Cie, Paris, Limoges, France - c1891 to 1932 when the factory closed. I cannot precisely date the dishes, but the pattern seems to be earlier, rather then later.

A delicate pink floral design with gold basket decoration over light turquoise colouring to the outer sections of the dishes and hand painted gold rims. Part transfer under glaze and a little hand painting over glaze.

In wonderful condition with hardly any signs of wear - no chips, cracks, nibbles or crazing. The gold to the baskets does fade away - this seems to be part of the design and not loss of colour. Please see photographs.

The maker's mark reads (in green): W.G. & Cie, FRANCE (in blue): W.GUERIN & CIE, PARIS & LIMOGES.

Length: approx. 8 1/2" ( 21.6 cms)
Width: approx. 5 1/4" ( 13.4 cms)
Height: approx. 1" (2.6 cms)
