I have a very gently used Petite carder for sale. Love this piece of equipment but I need to move to an electric carder to process more fiber efficiently. This is a great carder. Makes excellent batts. If bought new this would be $485. I am asking $400 plus actual shipping. Item is located south of Boston. I am not a dealer. This is a private sale. I have estimated shipping for the listing but will calculate actual for buyer.

(from Strauch website)The Petite is a manual drum carder with a polyurethane drive belt. This carder is great for fiber artists with budget and/or space considerations who want a Strauch quality machine.

As with all Strauch drum carders, the Petite comes with our Brush Attachment.

The Petite is an excellent choice for a mid-sized carder with full sized features. The Petite is slightly smaller, with 6¾" wide drums instead of the 8¼" wide drums on the singlewide chain drives. The carder produces a batt approximately 6½" wide x 22" long. The Petite also has a 4:1 drum ratio.

The frame is made from high durability MDF material. The Petite frame is 16" long, 10" wide and 7" high.

An important feature: The tall frame allows the handle to swing freely of the table surface.

This unit is equipped with the #05 (128 psi) fine carding cloth on the large drum and our unique "Slicker-Licker" cloth on the small drum. Designed to handle ALL fibers.including Merino, Llama, Alpaca, Cashmere blend, dog hair and other exotics.

Special tools included with each carder are:
•The popular Knuckle-Saving-Batt-Pick, an invaluable tool for removing the batt without damage to the equipment or the user.
•A Doffer/Cleaner Brush to thoroughly and easily clean any residual fibers from the carding drum.
•A small cleaner/dabber brush for use on the licker drum.
•A table clamp to secure the carder to the work surface.
