This is a wedding dress c. 1901 made of silk satin and organza. The bodice is complicated but rational to get into once you see how it is constructed. The bodice has a hook and eye closure to secure everything with the bodice. The bodice is darted and boned everywhere.. The "bertha" has multiple rows of organza pleating that is carried up to the stand up collar. Braid is noted on the burtha's edge as well as on the cuff of the sleeve. Organza bow is draped down the front and ecru silk satin ribbon with bow is secured at waist for decoration. The skirt is not trimmed, but lined with polished cotton, tarlitan at the bottom and silk satin at the very bottom edge. This dress is in really good shape and all the fabric is intact. this dress fits my smallest dress form: bust 33" and waist 25".
