I made this focal bead using a deep dark molasses-brown transparent for the top half, and encased red, white and yellow twisties in the bottom half. I decorated the surface with more twistie cane, which snakes across the front and encircles the ends. I added one of my handmade murrini in oranges and browns, plus different sizes of bright yellow dots dancing over the surface like bubbles.

Dimensions
28mm straight-sided lentil, 12mm at the thickest point. Made on a 2mm mandrel.

I make my lampwork glass beads in my London studio using a Nortel Minor torch. All beads are annealed in a digitally-controlled kiln to remove the stresses introduced to the glass when it is worked.

Please note that colours may vary when viewed on different monitors. I check that they are as accurate as possible when viewed on my own.
