The Girly Girl cross stitch and needlepoint pattern is for your stylish cuties! This design features flip flops, sunglasses, a bow, and a perfume bottle in bright colors against a lovely yellow background. It's ideal for creating personalized signs for kids, babies, or your favorite fashion icon. The coolest kids in your life will love it!

Inspiration:
This pattern was made for my three year old niece who loves pink and purple. I have to admit, I'm not the most girly girl, so this is about as girly as I get, and I think it turned out pretty good! And while a lot of girls stuff is all about frilly princesses or corporate cartoon characters, I wanted to make something that would be cool for the girl and parents way longer than a year or two.

Difficulty:
This pattern is not too challenging and suitable for beginners and experienced needlepointers and cross-stitchers alike. We always fully encourage any newbies to give it a shot!

Size:
161 stitches wide by 141 stitches tall. Finished size will vary depending on the count fabric/canvas you choose. For 14 count (as in the photographed example), the project will be 11.5 x 10.1 in (29.2 x 25.6 cm), before it's finished into a pillow or framed.

Format:
This is for the pattern ONLY. This does not include the alphabet pattern, nor is it a kit nor is it the finished product. The pattern comes in .PDF format with a multi-page full color chart, color legend with DMC numbers and rough skein counts for needlepoint and cross-stitch, and instructions for both needlepoint and cross-stitch. All pages will be formatted to 8 1/2" x 11" paper. You will need Adobe Reader to open the file, which you can get free at http://get.adobe.com/reader/.

Alphabet:
I would be happy to design a custom name pattern for your project! Just click the "Request Custom Order" button and we can discuss options and terms.

The photographed example uses an alphabet I created solely for this project (therefore I designed only capital Z, and lower case A and R). Ancora Crafts offers two alphabets that could be used, Alphabet Mick and Alphabet Ozzie, however they might be a bit goth for this girls project... unless you stitch it with a black background (which would really make the design POP!).

Ozzie: https://www.etsy.com/listing/86307393/cross-stitch-and-needlepoint-alphabet

Notes:
There is a small difference between the background color in the photographed example, and the color of floss we recommend in the legend. We thought the background color of the project in the photo was just a touch too dark (DMC 3078), and it obscures the yellow flowers somewhat. The color in the legend (DMC 3823) is a slightly lighter shade of yellow. The photographed project still looks great, but we think the modified background color will look even better!
