I have various lives, one of which spends much time in Austria where this piece originated. The ring clasp is fully functional with a very sturdy spring, the rose gold Albert chain thick and yummy, and the very large yellow citrine (on the green side rather than the brown) revolves freely in its elegant, filigree housing. Altogether, a lovely, lovely piece from the turn of the previous century -- and the perfect gift for anyone (man or woman!) who appreciates the fine workmanship and style of Fin de Siecle Austria. Use it as a watch fob, a key ring, a pendant -- whatever makes your heart happy! :-) NOTE: just had all info confirmed with an auction house in Milwaukee. :-) NOTE 2: rose gold of this era is much more gentle than the light copper of today.

SIZE: the outer diameter of the ring clasp is 19mm; the Albert chain is 20mm long; the pendant is 25mm long with the citrine being 11mm x 13mm. The fob weighs 9 grams.
CONDITION: excellent vintage! There is a wee bit of wear to the bottom point of the citrine (to be expected after over 100 years of spinning around!), and the crystalline nature of it is visible on one side -- jutting out into the center. (Rather neat, actually!) The hallmarks are worn in spots (particularly where the chain rides in the loop), but still visible.
HALLMARKS: there are many, and the most visible are those indicating 585 -- which is an older, continental way of saying 14k.
