Tudor Doll, Queen Jane Seymour, 12th scale dollhouse doll In stock ready to ship.

Working from the well known portrait of Henry VIII's third wife I have created this little lady as closely as possible to the original.

Jane Seymour was Henry VIII's third wife. She was Queen of England for a very short time, from 1536 until 1537. She gave Henry the son and heir that he had wanted for so long. Sadly, she Didn't have a chance to enjoy her triumph and her baby son. She died of childbed fever shortly after Prince Edward was born..

This little Queen stands about 5.75 inches tall to the top of her headdress (12th scale)

Her head hands, feet and lower legs are porcelain, the rest of her body is wire wrapped in wadding, her face is hand painted. Her outfit has been recreated using Red silk and a silk brocade, silk ribbon, cotton lace and gold braid, all the tiny jewels and pearls have been individually applied

This is one of the last few dolls made by Tiggy before her death after a short illness 26/3/14.

This is an individual item which is for collectors - not suitable for young children.
