This fabulous Antique 1980's Victorian Era Shorn Beaver and Ermine Fur Capelet / Stole was a real Steampunk find! This came from a lovely lady antique-r in our area who dotes on Victorian apparel and occasional sells some of her treasures.

This black, with an undertone of chocolate, shorn beaver stole / cape has a white ermine collar and the most incredible two huge fur covered buttons that close the cape with a braided loop and button hole. The lining is a soft chocolate silk crepe that has a small ruffle that peeks out along the edges of the fur. A very feminine and warm addition to any luminous lady's wardrobe, when worn as a stole or over a winter coat as a luscious collar.

The label proclaims it to be a piece of Oregon history, purchased in the 1800's from from H Liebes & Co, Portland Oregon. This antique cape would be a fabulous way to glamorize your Victorian collection, to wear with your steampunk gowns or a great addition to your vintage luminous lady winter wardrobe!
