Beautifully hand-crafted oak curtain poles. These streamlined curtain poles and brackets will add a sleek, minimalist look to any room in your house.
Oak is an excellent material for curtain poles, it is extremely smooth to the touch, yet strong so there will be no problems with bending in the middle, even spanning a wide window. They only need two brackets, one at either end of the pole, there is no need for a central supporting bracket that most thinner, pine curtain poles require (290cm pole comes with a third bracket for the centre)
I hand-make each curtain pole and bracket in my workshop in Devon. To ensure sustainability, I use locally sourced timber from native trees species in the UK. The timber is FSC certified meaning it comes from sustainably managed woodlands to ensure the environmental impact is minimised.
Oak is a mid brown coloured wood with a beautiful and distinctive grain pattern which gives the wood a speckled appearance . Raw oak is on trend, giving a natural and elegant finish to any room. Please be aware that there may be slight variation in colour as this is a natural product.
This product is suitable for rod pocket or tab top curtain styles. It is also suitable for curtain rings; please be aware that due to the 35mm design of the curtain pole, you will need large curtain rings. You can also hang eyelet curtains with large eyelets with a minimum diameter of 42mm.
The curtain poles are extremely easy to fit, brackets and wall plugs are included. Each pack comes with 2 oak brackets, curtain pole, and wall plugs suitable for solid or hollow walls. Although the wall plugs are suitable for hollow walls, I would always recommend fixing the bracket into the studwork, or the lintel. To secure into the lintel you will need a hss drill bit.
The brackets are 15 cm long and hold the curtain pole 10 cm from the wall.
I can cut custom length should you need anything different from the standard lengths and I can also adjust the length of the brackets. If you have any questions please ask, I'd be happy to help.
I am sorry, but unfortunately I am not able to post poles longer than 140cm to offshore islands. Which includes the Channel Islands, Silly Isles and Scottish Islands, Isle of Mann.
