Because my primary passion is carving stone, I duplicated my carvings in shredded paper pulp. Ages ago, I'd made molds of my relief stone carvings in order to reproduce them in cement for a lower price. I no longer make cement casts but still have the molds and experimented with paper casting. The results are as seen...this one of sea oats, which has been dry-brushed slightly with wood stain, to show the texture and form. The final cast is pretty rigid but shouldn't be placed where it could get wet...although it has a clear, latex varnish. Can be framed but a light-weight hanger is on the back, for 'as is' hanging. No two are alike...in fact, there are bits of colored paper threads that can be seen if viewed up close. A paper representation of my weightier, original, stone carving!

Measures: 16" x 19" x 22 1/2" (each side of the triangular-shaped piece) and 1/4" deep.
