This is part of a series of cities and their airport codes, inspired by luggage tags and all those long layovers at various airports everywhere.

If you would like me to make you a special "Up in the Air" MapArt with an airport of your choice, please let me know. I either use maps of the city itself, when available, or maps of the vicinity. I have thousands of antique maps.

An original one-of-a-kind, signed artwork, made using a 1902 map of California and a hand-cut vintage illustration of an airplane. The letters are also hand-cut. All sides of the wooden block are painted black. The black paint has been sanded for a shabby chic finish. Please note: there really is a tiny circle drawn in pen on upper left of map, made by some previous owner (see photo).

The 'apfelstrudel' watermark does not appear on the artwork.

Ready to hang or stand upright. No need to frame.
