Tuareg silverwork from Niger, Moroccan horn with silver studs, and Nepalese Sterling capped black onyx beads are the focal pieces of this handsome tribal style necklace.

Tuareg people, known as the "Blue Men" of Africa from their blue head coverings which transfer the dye to their skin, are skillful silversmiths. This amulet features traditional Tuareg motifs and crosshatching. The heavy silver is overlaid onto a substantial round of black onyx that has a bit of brown figuring on the reverse side. Also on the reverse, you can see the artisan's signature in the pictographic Tifinagh language of the Tuareg.

The necklace is a handsome combination of hand-faceted black Moroccan horn beads, inlaid on all 4 sides with silver studs, a pair of Sterling-capped black onyx beads from Nepal, black and gray Banded Agate rounds, and Thai 98% silver printed triangle beads. NOTE: YOUR MONITOR MAY SHOW GREEN SHADOWS ON THE SILVER AMULET WHICH ARE SOLELY DUE TO THE DIFFICULTY IN LIGHTING THIS PIECE. The pendant is bright silver.

The amulet measures appr. 3 1/4" long and the necklace is about 22 7/8" in length.
