A most unique wedding cake topper - for a most unusual couple. Puffer fish in a tree. One is green with yellow spots and the other is yellow with green spots. They look lovingly into each other's eyes and are nestled so close together. But why 'fish in a tree'?

When I was growing up, I never felt like I fit in. I was an artist in a town obsessed with sports; I felt as weird as a fish in a tree. It was a very lonely time. Then I finally met my husband, who is just as odd as I am; he too, is a fish in a tree. We knew from the very start that we were a perfect match. So now I am happy to be 'as weird as a fish in a tree' as long as I have my love at my side in the branches!

If you are marrying your perfect match, perhaps this will be the perfect wedding cake topper for your special day. It makes a great little story too!

The tree was sculpted from marbleized stoneware clay and is in its natural, matte finish. Its heart shaped leaves have a wash of shiny pink glaze. The base of the tree is broad enough to sit on its own or can be tucked into the icing on top of your cake. This would be the perfect topper for a winter wedding.

This is not only a wedding cake topper, but a sculpture as well. Long after your wedding day is over you can still have this little piece on display in your home as a reminder of your special day. The white heart on the tree may be personalized with a date, last name or your initials - just send me a convo with your choice - no extra charge!

Made from 4 different colors of stoneware clay. Fired twice in my electric kiln to 2200 degrees F. Glazed with food safe colors. This is completely safe and nontoxic, unlike polymer clay, which should never touch food.

This piece stands about 6" tall and 7" wide. The base of the tree is 2 x 2-3/4".
