SALE! $100 Off. Was $850

Very rare glazed earthenware elephant by famed Italian ceramic artist Guido Gambone. Features his trademark bubbly volcanic glaze.

From Gambone's prized 'donkey mark' line of animal figurines. Signed on the underside as pictured. The donkey mark is synonymous with Gambone's name; this is absolutely guaranteed to be an authentic Guido Gambone piece.

Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate crazing. No chips. One surface crack behind the elephant's right ear (see photo); ear is stable. Two pieces of excess glaze on the lobe of the right ear, from production.

Gambone is the one of the masters of mid-century Italian ceramics. This is a highly collectible investment piece. Shipping will include insurance.

Approx 6.25" long, 5.75" tall, 5.75" wide.
