They all have individual painted pictures behind the toughened glass, of characters showing a glass of Guinness..a toucan bird, a kangaroo a seal, an ostrich, a police man and a tortoise. Fittings included to thread through buttonholes if needed. On card inside the cardboard box. Makes a lovely gift for anyone who likes vintage items but also for collectors of these amazing buttons. The Guinness company made these buttons to promote their product at the 1950s Britain,giving them out to pubs and brewerys etc. Guinness was originally a drink made in Ireland and became popular in the UK, where it was also manufactured and advertised for good health benefits including iron.
