A detailed tutorial and pattern that is perfect for the beginner, this pdf download will introduce you to both freezer paper and fusible appliqué and with only 6 pieces (templates) It is an easy pattern but yet can be very striking with the right fabrics. There are two pages of templates ready to trace, one page is a placement guide and 4 pages of instruction including 16 how to photos . The pattern will print out on a standard 8.5 by 11 printer paper to make a small quilt or you can enlarge to any size you like.

If made as printed your finished quilt will be 8" by 10.5" which is rather small but looks really great mounted on stretched canvas which can be purchased very inexpensively at any arts and crafts store. Download my free tutorial on craftsy.com (search for landscapelady which is my shop name or for how to mount an art quilt on canvas) Doing this will make your work look more like the art that it is.

You should have some knowledge of how to free motion quilt for this process as you applique and free motion quilt at the same time but this is a great project to learn and hone your skills
