Killer vintage handbag by the excellent Bonnie Cashin, manufactured by Meyers. Circa early 1970s. Very modern, minimal design--one of my favorites of the Cashin oeuvre. Flat pouch with rounded corners, and ergonomic single strap. One interior pocket that closes with a heavy duty brass zipper. The leather is the best quality you'll encounter in a handbag; thick and durable with a wonderful grain, yet as buttery and pliable as a well-worn baseball mitt (as Cashin intended her bags to become as they were used over time). Unlined/raw suede interior. Rich dark taupe in color.

Body of bag is approximately 11.25" x 12.25" and 3/4" deep (will expand when you put things in it though, of course). Strap is about 32" long from end to end and is 2 1/8" wide.

The bag was definitely loved in its previous life, and shows overall light evidence of wear and use/light scratches/marks in the leather. However, it has been very well taken care of and probably conditioned regularly, so the wear actually gives it a very cool, very special patina. The only real flaw I find is that a section of the leather on the strap has folded back from time and use--not noticeable when worn and not a big deal in general--see last photo.
