Barn-found, this piece has the air of something ancient about it. We have no knowledge of its origin, but imagine it to be as old if not older than the 100 year old barn we found it in.

The pot is 12 inches across from handle to handle, 9 for the pot itself. It is 8 inches wide and 4 inches high. Two small handles on either side appear to be brass or perhaps bronze (they are thick and heavy) and are attached with what appear to be some sort of nail. The handles have seven little dot indentations on the top of them. T

The bottom of the pot shows that it was either made or repaired in a crude hammered flap method that can also be seen from inside the pot. The outside surface is hammered and darkened, with verdigris spots around the seams. The inside is gloriously green, the finish heavily pitted and verdigris.

This pot is truly amazing.
