Mexican sterling Silver Modernist ring, circa 1960s. Four hollow ball forms organically emerging from an overlapping bypass. The piece has an elegant asymmetry, and the bubbles seem to float organically above the hand, with a sweet space age effect. This is a smaller ring - when worn on the pinky of a larger hand, the bubbles look like they are just clustering about the edge of the hand, about to float away. A very unusual and beautifully designed piece.

Stamped with the open eagle mark of 2, and a round ring mark, nearly illegible but for portions of the word Mexico, and another word with the letter X in it. Possibly Taxco, though the mark for Taxco is generally 3. I believe the silver mark, also very difficult to read (see photos) is 985, a bit higher in silver content than Sterling.

In good condition with gentle bends, a beautiful patina, no dents. Somewhat adjustable in size as it is a bypass - currently set at a U.S. size 5.25.
