In the early 1980s my mom’s friend traveled to Egypt. One of the many little treasures she returned with was a hand-painted depiction of her astrological sign of Cancer (June 22 – July 23).

Bright and bold colors on a textured papyrus feature the mascot of Cancer, the Crab, and symbols that I think represent the other aspects of this cardinal sign – it’s a water element ruled by the Moon, and those born under this sign are creative, original, romantic, dependable, and strong providers.

This beautiful painting comes in an aluminum copper frame with a matte that matches the papyrus (a creamy beige). It measures approximately 16” width by 12” height.

framed vintage Egyptian painting of astrological sign of Cancer (June/July)
