From our alchemic doll maker’s shoppe, Wraith & Grimoire’s:
Tordu Deux is a pantalone, or evil clown, of the famous Cirque Cri de Coeur, and the subject of many a Victorian nightmare. Tordu tells of being born in a small town in France, Sang-froid, but his unearthly appearance and ways cause most aquaintances to wonder about his past. Tordu’s “force majeure” consists primarily of juggling skulls and bones whilst singing lines from the Egyptian Book of the Dead - “My utterance is mighty, I am more powerful than the ghosts; may they have no power over me” – and so on. Tordu plans to leave France soon and sail to America, where he hopes to win new acclaim with his own cirque, “Coulrophobia Noir”

Tordu is colorfully dressed in a removable ruffled collar, and a fitted jumper of many colors, trimmed in lace and ribbons. In his right hand is one of his juggling-skulls. Tordu is an OOAK sculpture, and is intended for display, not for children.Tordu’s head, hands and boots are individually sculpted over a ceramic form. He is hand painted, tinted and antiqued. Tordu has a flexible wired cloth body, and may be posed. He is about eighteen inches tall.
