LAYAWAY PLAN AT BOTTOM OF DESCRIPTION, AND IN SHOP POLICIES

* Dated .. 1910s - 1920s
* Fabric ... Looks like silk satin or rayon and silk crepe.
* Color ... Ivory
* Closure ...Snap closure at the side-front.
* Label...None

You are viewing a gorgeous half slip c Edwardian - early 1920s. It is so pretty, it could actually be worn as a skirt! It is close fitting at the hips, and tapers out full at the flounce.
Closure is with hook and eye and three snaps in front at the side. Top of the slip is gored in back. It is a close fit about the first 8 inches down, and gradually flairs out. The flounce itself measures about 14 inches in length. Halfway down the flounce it is embroidered with embroidered openwork, and at the hemline are large embroidered roses. Hem is scalloped.The embroidery work almost glows or is shiny when the light hits on it a certain way.

* Waist: ... 22 - 23 inches around
* Hips ... up to 44 inches around...but should fit loose
* Length ... 30 inches waist to hem

Condition: Wearable and in Excellent vintage condition, the fabric is sturdy and strong with some faint soiling on the inside of the waistband. Can hardly see it! There is one place on the back where there is some light soiling or stain, that looks to me would come out. Not all that noticeable. When you have it cleaned, just bring it to the cleaners attention and they should know what to use on this type of fabric. There are two tiny dot size holes in the flounce that you have to really look for to see.
