Beautiful set of vintage blue L E Smith emerald green rearing horse bookends from the 1940's.

L E Smith purchased an abandoned glass factory outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. and this became one of the first industrial developmental programs in the region, he used the local resources of silica sand, natural glass, coal, and hired local skilled glass makers and the magic began. They are still in business today.

Each horse weighs 3 pounds and measures 8" tall,5 "long and 3" wide, approximately. This pair of horses are an excellent example of pressed glass.

5.5" deep
7.75" tall
2.5" wide
