The Superb Fairy Wren
This is a digital PDF pattern, no physical products will be shipped.
The small, Superb Fairy Wren is endemic to eastern Australia, ranging in habitats from south Queensland to South Australia as well as throughout Tasmania. The males have the distinctive blue and black colourings which become more iridescent when they are looking for a mate. The male also sing to their eggs to get more attentive chicks when they hatch.
This embroidery pattern is suitable for all skill levels. Stitches used: Satin Stitch, French Knot, Long Stitch, Seed Stitch Straight Stitch, Fly Stitch, Split Stitch and Reverse Chain.
This pattern has been done on a 8inch hoop but can be placed in a larger hoop if you wish to have more space around the design.
