Selling from an estate is a gorgeous antique solid quartersawn oak filing cabinet with its original finish patina. It was a more expensive one made in its day for legal offices, with the beveled panels on both sides and the back so it could show beautifully astride a desk in the middle of a room as well as along a wall...its fine craftsman joinery dovetails revealed on the top and the beveling heavily detailed, makes it one of the earliest from the 1890's to 1900 era, with four drawers and wood interior including the runners. This makes the drawers a more quiet and solid smooth movement when they open and close than the later ones with metal added. Two of them have an original wood divider as well which slides on a center metal rod for holding and separating files. The quartersawn oak sun rays are spectacular on it ~!

Only expected signs of antique wood age, the top having a couple short natural wood age splits and its patina showing its age, but nothing that takes away from its beauty or strength. I found a wood splinter on an interior bottom runner molding but really insignificant. The bottom brass card holder has just a tad lighter tarnish than the others.

Vintage metal file hanging apparatus are included inside the drawers to make this file cabinet fully functional with hanging files that suspend over the metal to slide for ease of use. You can buy those files anywhere today at places like Office Max.

It stands 52" tall by 27" deep by 17 1/2" wide. Freight shipping or pick up is available by your choice shipper. I have a shipper to recommend who I think is the best! The cost is only an estimate...it depends greatly on your location....
