This beautiful vintage Remington "Quiet-Riter" portable typewriter was made in 1952 in New York City. The Quiet-Riter has a "Miracle Tab" feature which allows the setting and clearing of tabs from the keyboard. This was a very unique feature for portable typewriters of this time period.

It is in working condition with plastic keys. There is still some life left in the ink band as shown in the words typed by this machine. The keys do stick slightly, but they all function properly otherwise. This case measures approx. 14" x 14.5" x 7" and weighs approx. 20 lbs. This is the perfect gift for those who love to write or those who collect vintage decor. There will always be something utterly romantic about the good old typewriter.

There is an address label from a past owner on the back of the body. This item is in good working condition but is sold as is.
