The maker of this Midcentury Modern Freeform, 4 Footed planter is unmarked and is a mystery to me although it reminds me of Saar, Schreckengost, and Clemingson, Laguna, and Covina Pottery of CA. I have posted picts of it around the net a bit, and apparently it is a mystery to many others as well.

What I can tell you for sure...is that it's undeniably a dinosaur. Its neck cranes out from the streamlined form of its torso just like a dinosaur, and is firmly anchored on four sturdy feet...just like a lot of dinosaurs were. It also could hold quite a bit of plant matter just like a dino!

It is completely unknown to me how it managed to find itself here in this day and age...perhaps it fell into a wormhole or was captured in a time machine...but it DOES seem to have made it here unscratched, unchipped, uncracked, and unhairlined. It did not make it here completely unscathed however, and the inside of the bowl wears what looks like a hard water stain around the edge as well as several dark brown spots (see 4th pict). Perhaps dino bowl was used as a planter...as you might use it, making said stains superfluous details.

5.5" tall from head to foot
11.25" from nose to tail
4.75" across the hips
