Sewing pattern for a 1970s style princess seamed dress with neckline, sleeve and hem length variations - all sizes included.

This is a Vintage Master Pattern, originally made by BEVKNITS and sold in Australia in the 1970s and 80s when sewing with knit or stretch fabric was new and groovy! Sewing with knitted fabrics meant that you could achieve a drape and ease of fit that was not so easy with woven fabrics. It also means that you don't have to worry so much about fraying and fussy finishing on the inside, and there was less need for zips and fastenings.

These master patterns have many sizes printed on the one sheet. This way, you can adjust to your own measurements. If you have a size 14 hip and a size 16 bust you can trace a curve between the two sizes to obtain the perfect fit just for you! The patterns have all of the cutting and sewing instructions printed on the reverse side of the sheet so you'll never lose them! You can use the patterns over and over and sew for any size you need.

These patterns are perfect for use with double knits or fabrics with a small degree of stretch like jersey, interlock and the new fabrics like bamboo and hemp that have a litttle lycra added for stretch.

Bevknits pattern #2401
Australian sizes 8 to 20
